May was an event-filled month at The Newbury! With construction moving full steam ahead, we saw the installation of beautifully designed landscaping. We’ve received many wonderful comments from those who have had an opportunity to drive by the Community.
Another great milestone this month was the inauguration of The Newbury’s Red Carpet Speaker Series, held at The Coolidge Corner Theatre. We hosted an amazing presentation by Heisman Trophy Winner Doug Flutie on “Living a Champion Life at all Ages.” Many enjoyed the presentation, as well as the reception afterward where they had the chance to meet and speak with Doug. Additionally, our wonderful partners at the BSO provided two very talented musicians who played music prior to the program and again during the reception.
This presentation is the first of many Red Carpet Speaker Series events. I invite you to forward your suggestions for future speakers or topics that interest you. I want to send out a heartfelt appreciation to those of you who are sharing your excitement about our beautiful community with others. There is no better way to fill our community than with individuals referred by our residents. To show our appreciation, we have established the “Friends of The Newbury Referral Program.” This program rewards referring residents with a $3,000 credit to your accounts once you move in, and after the resident you referred has resided at The Newbury for at least 90 days.
