Now open and accepting members, The Newbury of Brookline restores an important residential use to Mitton House. This historic mansion was once home to one of Boston’s most important merchants and was later occupied by Cardinal Cushing College and Newbury College, for which the community is named. The mansion is lovingly restored and designed by the world-famous Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) firm. RAMSA, whose portfolio includes projects for Harvard University, multiple high-end Manhattan condominium projects, and other residential buildings around the globe, is dedicated to accommodating the rich architectural traditions of the surrounding Fisher Hill neighborhood.

At The Newbury of Brookline, excellence begins with leadership. Fran brings a distinguished background spanning hospitality, luxury residential, and senior living, with experience at world-class brands including The Hard Rock San Diego, St. Regis San Francisco, and Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. She went on to serve as the opening General Manager at Ritz Carlton Residences North Hills and later transitioned into senior living, contributing to community openings with Aegis and leading MBK Senior Living’s The Bellettini in Bellevue, Washington.

With a proven record of elevating service standards, optimizing performance, and building cohesive teams, Fran leads The Newbury with the same commitment to luxury and personalized care that has defined her career.
